Indonesia has established the necessary regulatory framework for fortified rice, including national standards for Fortified Rice Kernels (FRK) and Fortified Rice (FR). However, translating these standards into large-scale implementation requires sustained technical coordination, cross-ministerial alignment, and day-to-day engagement with key government stakeholders.
To support this process, WFP seeks to engage a Programme Policy Officer to be seconded to the Coordinating Ministry of Food to provide embedded technical expertise on rice fortification, food safety and nutrition. The incumbent will play a critical role in facilitating coordination across ministries, advancing pilot implementation, and supporting evidence-based planning for scale-up.

Given the centrality of rice in national diets and public food programmes, rice fortification presents a high-impact opportunity to address micronutrient deficiencies at scale.
