International Bar Association (IBA), founded in 1947, is a bar association of
international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies. The IBA currently
has a membership of more than 80,000 individual lawyers and 200 bar
associations and law societies. Its global headquarters are located in London, England, and it has regional offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Washington, D.C., United States and Seoul, South Korea.
The Role
The IBA Asia
Office is seeking a motivated individual to serve as an unpaid Marketing and Communications Intern. Ideal candidates should
have a passion for marketing and public relations work. Experience with
Microsoft Excel is critical.
The IBA's
internship programme provides students and recent graduates with hands-on
professional and educational experiences that will enhance their skills and
knowledge in the field of marketing and advertising in an environment conducive
to one-on-one mentoring.
The Marketing
and Communications Intern will help conduct marketing research, creating visual
and written content for upcoming conferences, and engage in outreach to IBA
members and bar associations and legal institutions throughout Asia. They will
also learn to communicate persuasively in both oral and written contexts.
Qualifications
The ability to work 30 hours/week at the IBA Asia office for 6 months
The ability to conduct marketing research and present findings orally and/or in writing
Must be creative and possess technical and communication skills
Must have near native proficiency in English
Proficient in Microsoft Office
