Under the guidance of the UNDP Pakistan Deputy Resident Representative, with matrix reporting to the Assistant Resident Representative (ARR) for the Democratic Governance Unit (DGU) and working closely with DGU’s relevant programmes as well as other units, projects and programmes, the Programme Manager will have the overall responsibility for programme management of MAGP.
S/he will provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the programme, including donor relations and resource mobilization, team management, and represent UNDP in technical forums relevant to the mainstreaming of the Merged Areas.
S/he will also be leading the formulation, strategic direction, and evaluation of activities within the project and act as a key point of contact for Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa counterparts, and national and international stakeholders.
UNDP adopts a portfolio approach to accommodate changing business needs and leverage linkages across interventions to achieve its strategic goals. Therefore, UNDP personnel are expected to work across units, functions, teams, and projects in multidisciplinary teams in order to enhance and enable horizontal collaboration.
